This week has been full of preparations for the online store opening along with preparing for our league night tourney on Saturday. I Played in a local BYOP tourney Monday taking 2nd place with some good competition. My partner and I been throwing Fallout X’s and been throwing really good coming from faster bags (vipers). Monday night was full of ups and downs adjusting to looser carpets and playing in the venue with pretty high humidity causing the bags to play slow. We stayed hot through rounders and started the 1st game with a bye, but then moving to the 2nd game and starting off with a beat down by some great players we had to get our act together before we get knocked out in the losers bracket. Still trying to adjust to this newer style of carpet bags I managed to finally find a good rhythm with them and adjust to the small kick I was experiencing the 1st game. After winning our 3rd game we managed to grind through the losers bracket and get right into the championship. We played a great first game coming down to the wire I hit a big airmail shot to knock two bags in having us collect the win, but being the best 2 out of 3 we still had to manage a comeback victory. 2nd game was a blowout with the A/c turned off and the bags going from a speed of 6 to 3 it was a rough game for both teams, but the final win went to the opposing team. We felt great though taking 2nd place and getting some confidence before the big tourney this weekend. We still have some things to work on, but we’re confident we can take some big wins and make a run this weekend.
